Conquest U10 group had a great day out at the Marish Wizards tournament where all of the boys were in exceptional form. Conquest had entered two sides;

Conquest Greys:

7. Jamie Witheridge
Both teams set off at a furious pace and remained unbeaten in the groups with only one goal conceded by either side! Unfortunately because the Blues had conceded one goal and the other side in their group hadn't conceded any we were drawn against each other in the semi final! The semi final was hotly contested with neither side able to get a break through with an outstanding save by both keepers to keep the score at 0-0. It went to penalties which (cruelly) was an immediate sudden death shootout! The boys were excellent throughout and the Blues won the shootout 2-1 to go through.
The final was played against a strong Explorers side but a good goal from Ishe Kazuwa meant that Conquest won the game 1-0. That first goal was nearly followed up with another a few moments later as he cut in brilliantly and fired viciously off the left post. The defence were outstanding throughout and the boys all got onto the pitch to have a major impact in the final result! Please enjoy the pictures below.
